多岐に渡るジャンルのバンドやグループのサポートやレコーディングアーティストとして活躍し、ジェットフィンガーの異名の通りその卓越した速弾きのテクニックを持つ横関敦氏。
今回入荷致しました品は貴重なFernandesより受注生産での発売となっておりましたシグネチャーモデル、FR-CUSTOM DRAGON。
一目で強烈なインパクトを与えるボディトップにあしらわれた龍のグラフィックにヘッドエンドの義の文字も特徴的なシグネチャーモデルらしいこだわりのルックスです。
更にこちらの個体は先行販売された6本の内の5本目の個体、そして横関氏の直筆サインもヘッド裏に記載された個体と成ります。

ネックシェイプはUシェイプの様な握り心地も感じさせるスリムなシェイプを有しており、きめ細かく仕上げられたつや消しの塗装との組み合わせのおかげで滑らかな演奏が弾き心地が楽しめます。
指板面においても350Rの緩やかな指板ラディアス、大きめのステンレスフレットを採用しているのでテクニカルなフレーズや横関氏の様な素早いプレイの際も反応が良いです。

木材構成はソフトメイプルトップ、ホンジュラスマホガニーバック、メイプルネック、メイプル指板からの組み合わせを採用。
STシェイプながらLP系思わせるボディ材の組み合わせのおかげで中低域はしっかりと太さが感じられ、ハリのある高域が印象的なバランスの良い組み合わせです。

ピックアップにはフロントにオリジナルのブレードタイプのスタックシングルコイルモデルVH-7をマウントし、リアにはSeymour Duncan SH-4 JBをマウント。
ギターのキャラクターとの組み合わせも太さが感じられ、クリーントーンでは音粒の揃いも良く、ボリュームコントロールによって様々な表情を見せてくれます。
ドライヴ時にはより太さが増し、ハイゲインサウンドとの相性も良いパワフルな音色がシュレッドプレイと相性も良好です。
またセレクターも2-wayというシンプルさ、とレムストッパーも搭載しているので様々な状況でも活躍してくれるシンプルなスペックだからこその器用さも兼ね備えております。

コンディションは経年や使用に伴うスリキズや打痕、パーツ類のくすみやサビ、一部塗装にヤレや引きがございますがフレットの減りも少なく、トラスロッドの効きも良好なこれからも末永くお使い頂けるコンディション。

ブランドの閉鎖に伴い現在では新規の入手が出来なくなった希少な1本。

Atsushi Yokozeki is a versatile musician who has performed as a session musician and recording artist for bands and groups across a wide range of genres. True to his nickname “Jet Finger,” he is renowned for his exceptional speed-picking technique.
The item we’ve just received is the FR-CUSTOM DRAGON, a rare signature model from Fernandes that was originally released as a made-to-order product.
Featuring a dragon graphic on the body top that makes a striking first impression, along with the character for “righteousness” on the headstock, this signature model boasts a distinctive look that reflects the meticulous attention to detail characteristic of the series.
Furthermore, this particular instrument is the fifth of six units released in an early pre-sale, and it bears Mr. Yokozeki’s handwritten signature on the back of the headstock.

The neck features a slim profile reminiscent of a U-shape, offering a comfortable grip. Combined with the finely finished matte finish, it provides a smooth playing experience.
The fingerboard features a gentle 350R radius and larger stainless steel frets, ensuring excellent responsiveness for technical phrases and the rapid playing style characteristic of Mr. Yokozeki.

The wood configuration consists of a soft maple top, Honduran mahogany back, maple neck, and maple fingerboard.
Despite its ST shape, the body wood combination—reminiscent of LP-style guitars—delivers a solid, full-bodied low-to-midrange with crisp, resonant highs, creating a well-balanced sound.

The pickups include an original blade-style stacked single-coil VH-7 model mounted in the front and a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB in the rear.
These pair well with the guitar’s character to deliver a rich, full-bodied tone. In clean settings, the notes are well-defined, and the volume control allows for a wide range of tonal expressions.
When driven, the tone becomes even richer, and the powerful sound pairs well with high-gain settings, making it ideal for shredding.
Additionally, the simple 2-way selector switch and the inclusion of a tremolo stopper provide versatility suitable for a wide range of situations—a versatility made possible by its straightforward specifications.

The condition shows signs of age and use, including scratches and dents, as well as some discoloration and rust on parts, and some wear and chipping on the finish. However, the frets have minimal wear, and the truss rod is in good working order, making this a guitar that can be enjoyed for many years to come.

This is a rare instrument that can no longer be purchased new due to the brand’s closure.
Fans and those who missed out on it back then should definitely not miss this opportunity.
