FERNANDES黄金期80s-90sのモデル代表的モデル!!

STタイプのボディにFRTを搭載したFRとともにFERNANDESの代表的なモデルとなっていたFSTシリーズの中心的なモデルFST-65をベースとした元HOUND DOG〜LOVE -Junksの西山 毅モデル!!

元々の経緯はFernandesファンならご存知、元々はBrad Gillisモデルとして発売されていたモデルをアレンジし、西山 毅モデルとして再リリースされたモデルです。

ピックアップ、ブリッジ等が、Brad Gillisモデルより変更されております。西山氏の使用しているモデルはその後、１プライピックガード、エスカッションなしとなっていますので、こちらはよりB.Gモデルに近い仕様となっています。

ボディには当時のFernandesではお馴染みのSoft Mapleを使用、当時のライバルの日本のブランドがBasswoodやAlderを使用している事が多い所それに比べ、ややエッジがありより中音域が出ます。

ネックにはMapleを使用、指板はRosewood材が使用され、フレットは当時の国産らしい幅広のタイプとなっています。ネックバックとヘッドがこのモデルの特長でもあるブラックに塗装されています。ネックシェイプは薄めのCタイプとなっています。

ピックアップはFERNANDESオリジナルのフロント、リアにアルニコVのヴィンテージシングルコイルタイプVS-2、リアにはヴィンテージPAF系のサウンドVH-3が搭載されており、程よいパワーで80sハードロックにはピッタリでは無いでしょうか。

更にこちらのギターの大きな特長となる、SB-3000ゲインブースターが搭載されており最大で3倍のゲインがブーストされます。ボディトップに搭載されており、こちらをバイパスする場合はサイドのジャックを使用できます。

ブリッジにはFRT-4を搭載、ファインチューナー付きのFRTタイプでロックナットを閉めた後でもチューニングの微調整が可能となっており、BGモデルのファインチューナーなしのFRT-3より実用的となっています。

ネックのコンディションに問題はございません。フレットに目立った凹みはなく、充分残っています。

擦り傷、打痕は年代を考慮しますと、少ないと思われます。

A representative model from FERNANDES' golden age of the 80s-90s!!

Based on the FST-65, a central model in the FST series, which, along with the FR series (featuring an FRT tremolo on an ST-type body), was a representative model of FERNANDES. This is the Takeshi Nishiyama model, formerly of HOUND DOG and LOVE-Junks!!

As Fernandes fans know, this model was originally released as a Brad Gillis model, then modified and re-released as the Takeshi Nishiyama model.

The pickups and bridge have been changed from the Brad Gillis model. Nishiyama's later models featured a single-ply pickguard and no pickup rings, so this one is closer to the original B.G. model specifications.

The body uses Soft Maple, a common material for Fernandes at the time. Compared to rival Japanese brands that often used Basswood or Alder, this provides a slightly edgier sound with more midrange.

The neck is made of Maple, the fingerboard is Rosewood, and the frets are the wide type typical of Japanese-made guitars of that era. The neck back and headstock are painted black, a distinctive feature of this model. The neck shape is a thin C-type.

The pickups are FERNANDES originals: Alnico V vintage single-coil type VS-2 in the front and middle positions, and a vintage PAF-style VH-3 in the bridge position. With just the right amount of power, they're perfect for 80s hard rock.

A major feature of this guitar is the SB-3000 gain booster, which provides up to three times the gain boost. It's mounted on the body top, and you can bypass it using the side jack.

The bridge is an FRT-4, a FRT-type with fine tuners, allowing for fine-tuning even after tightening the locking nut. This is more practical than the FRT-3 on the BG model, which lacked fine tuners.

There are no problems with the neck condition. The frets have no noticeable dents and have plenty of life left.

Considering its age, there are relatively few scratches and dents. Recommended for fans of Rock In America and Final Fantasy!!
