ESPの長い歴史の中でもフラッグシップモデルとして進化を続けて来たロングセラーモデル、Horizon。
今回入荷致しました品はその3代目のシェイプとしてオフセットボディシェイプを採用等よりモダンなルックスへ進化を遂げたモデル、Horizon-III。
現在では生産が完了と成ってしまったDeep Candy Apple Redの個体です。
深みのある赤色がよりシェイプの造形美を際立たせる高級感のあるルックスです。

ネックシェイプはスリムに仕上げられたThin Uシェイプを採用。
モダンなプレイヤーの方々には嬉しい良質な握り心地は素早いポジション移動の際もなめらかな弾き心地が楽しめます。
また305Rの緩やかな指板ラディアス、エクストラジャンボサイズのステンレスフレット、そしてHorizonの特徴でもあるスルーネック方式のおかげでテクニカルなフレーズや流れる様なハイポジションを多用するリードフレーズの際も弾きやすいです。

木材構成はアルダーボディ、3ピースのメイプルネック、エボニー指板からの構成を採用。
中低域は芯の太さとまとまりの良さが感じられ、伸びやかな高域が印象的なバランスの良い組み合わせです。

ピックアップにはSeymour Duncan Custom Shopにて製作されるESPオリジナルのハイブリッドモデル、Seymour Duncan 59/Jazz Hybrid neckとJB/Custom Hybrid bridgeの組み合わせを採用。
かねてより定番ピックアップとして名高いモデルを合わせたそれぞれの特性としてフロントは59モデルらしいパンチのあるハリ、太さとJAZZモデルが持つ煌びやかな高域が合わさっており、リアはJBをベースによりローエンドに厚みを増した存在感のある音色に仕上げられております。
クリーントーンではその特性の通りフロントは厚みがありながらもクリアさを保ち、リアは深みのある迫力を感じさせる音色が楽しめ、ボリュームやトーンコントロールによって様々な表情を見せてくれます。
ドライヴ時にはハイゲインの中でも輪郭が崩れづらく、反応の良さも光るサウンドが重厚感のあるリフや速いリードワークへの追従性も良い、迫力のあるサウンドが楽しめます。
またVolノブにはPush/Pushにてコイルタップ機能も搭載しているのでより煌びやかなサウンドへ移行する事も可能です。

コンディションは経年や使用に伴うスリキズや打痕、パーツ類のくすみやサビ、バックパネルのビス穴割れ等が見受けられますが、フレットの減りも少なく、トラスロッドの効きも良好な即戦力としてこれからもお使い頂ける良好なコンディション。

ESPらしい品質の高さが感じられる人気モデルです。

Horizon, a long-selling model that has continuously evolved as the flagship throughout SP's long history.
This newly arrived item is the Horizon-III, the third generation featuring an offset body shape for a more modern look.
This particular unit is the now discontinued Deep Candy Apple Red.
Its deep red color accentuates the sculptural beauty of the shape, creating a luxurious appearance.

The neck shape features a slim Thin U profile.
Modern players will appreciate the excellent grip, providing smooth playability even during rapid position shifts.
Additionally, the gentle 305R fingerboard radius, extra jumbo stainless steel frets, and Horizon's signature through-neck construction make it exceptionally playable for technical phrases and flowing lead work in the upper registers.

The wood construction features an alder body, a 3-piece maple neck, and an ebony fingerboard.
This balanced combination delivers a rich, cohesive mid-low end with impressive, extended highs.

The pickups feature ESP's original hybrid models crafted by the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop: the Seymour Duncan 59/Jazz Hybrid neck pickup paired with the JB/Custom Hybrid bridge pickup.
Combining renowned classic pickups, the front pickup blends the punchy, punchy, and thick characteristics typical of the 59 model with the sparkling highs of the JAZZ model. The rear pickup, based on the JB, delivers a substantial tone with added low-end thickness.
In clean tones, the front pickup delivers a thick yet clear sound true to its character, while the rear pickup offers a deep, powerful tone. Volume and tone controls allow for a wide range of tonal expressions.
When driven, the sound remains well-defined even at high gain, showcasing excellent responsiveness. It excels at handling heavy riffs and keeping up with fast lead work, delivering a powerful sound.
Additionally, the volume knob features a push-push coil tap function, allowing transition to a brighter, more sparkling sound.

Condition shows signs of age and use, including surface scratches, dents, tarnish/rust on parts, and a cracked screw hole on the back panel. However, no major issues are present. Fret wear is minimal, the truss rod functions well, and it remains in excellent condition, ready for immediate use.

This popular model showcases the high quality characteristic of ESP.
