ロック界のレジェンドギタリストとして今なお衰えを知らない人気を誇るJimmy Page。
今回入荷致しました品は氏の数々のシグネチャーモデルの一つとしてFenderより発売されたモデル、Jimmy Page Mirror Telecaster。
アッシュ材らしい力強い杢目が透けるWhite Blondeカラーが目を惹き、ジョイントプレートもシグネチャーサインを使用した特別感のあるモデルです。

2019年にLED ZEPPELIN Iの50周年を記念してJimmy Page氏本人が開発段階から携わり、元と成った品はTHE YARDBIRDSの前任だったJeff Beckにより譲り受けた1959年製のテレキャスターモデルをベースになっており、その後Jimmy Pageの手に渡った後60年代のファッションやアートトレンドに影響を受けた事で8枚の鏡を取り付け、そしてMirror Telecasterとして呼ばれる様に成ったストーリーがございます。

今回再現するにあたりネックシェイプは専用のJimmy Page Custom "Oval C" Shapeを採用。
程よい厚みを持ち、トラッドスタイルながら決して太過ぎるや握りづらいという印象は持たせない良質な握り心地は幅広いスタイルのプレイヤーの方々にもおすすめさせて頂けます。
指板面は7.25"R、フレットサイズも21フレットのヴィンテージサイズを採用しているので当時の弾き心地に近づけてくれています。

木材構成は2ピース構成のアッシュボディ、メイプルネック、スラブ貼りのローズウッド指板からの組み合わせを採用。
塗装もグロスラッカー塗装のボディ、ネックにはグロスニトロセルロースラッカー塗装を採用しております。
アッシュ材らしい太さとまとまりの良さが感じられ、煌びやかな高域も印象的な組み合わせです。

ピックアップにはこちらのモデル専用に開発されたJimmy Page Custom '59 Tele Single-Coilをマウント。
歯切れの良さと木材のキャラクターを素直に伝えてくれる骨太な音色が楽しめ、クリーントーンでは一つ一つの音粒の揃いも良く、フレーズやニュアンスもキレイに再現してくれます。
ドライヴ時にはよりエッジ立ち、太さが増した音色がトラッドなロックスタイルとの相性も良好です。

コンディションは経年や使用に伴うスリキズや打痕、一部塗装に小さなひびや欠けが見受けられ、パーツ類のくすみやサビ等がございますが大きく目立つ物は無く、フレットの高さも余力がしっかりとあり、トラスロッドの効きも良好なこれからも末永くお使い頂けるコンディション。

Jimmy Pageの名を冠さなくともそのサウンドとプレイアビリティの良さから幅広い方々にもおすすめさせて頂けるヴィンテージスペックの1本です。

Jimmy Page remains as popular as ever as a legendary guitarist in the rock world.
The item we’ve just received is the Jimmy Page Mirror Telecaster, released by Fender as one of his many signature models.
The White Blonde finish, which reveals the distinctive, bold grain of the ash wood, is eye-catching, and the joint plate features his signature, giving this model a truly special feel.

Developed in 2019 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of LED ZEPPELIN I, Jimmy Page himself was involved from the development stage. The original model was based on a 1959 Telecaster that he acquired from Jeff Beck, who was a former member of THE YARDBIRDS, After passing into Jimmy Page’s hands, it was influenced by 1960s fashion and art trends, leading him to attach eight mirrors—a story that earned it the name “Mirror Telecaster.”

For this reproduction, the neck shape features the exclusive Jimmy Page Custom “Oval C” profile.
With just the right thickness, it offers a traditional style without ever feeling too thick or difficult to grip, providing a high-quality playing experience that we recommend to players of all styles.
The fingerboard has a 7.25" radius, and the 21-fret vintage-sized frets help recreate the playing feel of the original era.

The wood configuration features a two-piece ash body, a maple neck, and a slab-jointed rosewood fingerboard.
The finish features a gloss lacquer finish on the body and a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish on the neck.
This combination delivers the characteristic richness and cohesion of ash wood, along with impressive, sparkling high frequencies.

It is equipped with the Jimmy Page Custom '59 Tele Single-Coil pickup, developed exclusively for this model.
You can enjoy a robust tone that delivers crisp articulation and faithfully conveys the character of the wood. In clean tones, the individual notes are well-defined, and phrases and nuances are reproduced beautifully.
When driven, the tone becomes more edgy and fuller, making it a great match for traditional rock styles.

In terms of condition, there are some scratches and dents from age and use, as well as small cracks and chips in the finish in some areas. While there is some tarnish and rust on the hardware, nothing stands out as particularly significant. The frets have plenty of life left, and the truss rod is working well, making this a guitar that will serve you for many years to come.

Even without bearing Jimmy Page’s name, this vintage-spec guitar is highly recommended to a wide range of players due to its excellent sound and playability.
