国産らしい確かな品質から国内外に多くのファンを有すMade In Japan Fender。
今回入荷致しました品はカーブドトップのボディを採用し、そのモダンなスタイルと弾き心地から今なお根強い人気を持つASTシリーズの一つ、AST-M。
通常のロングスケールと異なり、ミディアムスケールを採用したモデルとなります。
ブラックピックガードにバインディングを施したOld Candy Apple Redのメタリックな色合いが良く映え、マッチングヘッドも特徴的な品です。

ネックシェイプはOval Typeを採用し、きめ細かいネック裏のサテン塗装との組み合わせによって長時間の演奏や素早いポジション移動もストレスが少なく行えます。
また指板面においても250Rの指板ラディアス、22フレット仕様、フレットサイズもWide Ovalを使用しているのでモダンなフレーズにも対応しやすいです。

木材構成はバスウッドボディ、メイプルネック、ローズウッド指板からの組み合わせを採用。
クセの少ないバスウッドらしいキャラクターのおかげで中低域もまとまりやすい印象を持ち、軽やかなな明るい高域が楽しめる組み合わせです。

ピックアップにはオリジナルのST SINGLE (JAPAN)を採用。
ハリのある音色はギターのキャラクターとの組み合わせによって音粒の揃いも良く、クリーントーンではフレーズの再現性も良好な音色が楽しめます。
ドライヴ時にはより鋭さと太さが増した音色が楽しめ、ギラ付きのあるサウンドがロックジャンル等との相性も良いです。

コンディションは経年や使用に伴うスリキズや打痕、パーツ類のくすみやサビ、一部塗装に日焼けや割れ、剥がれ、ヤセ等が見けられる他バックパネルのヒビ、指板に凹み等が見受けられますがフレットの余力もしっかりとあり、トラスロッドの効きも良好な即戦力のコンディション。

ルックスの良さと取り回しの良い軽さ、そして扱いやすいサウンド傾向が魅力な1本です。

Made in Japan Fender guitars boast the reliable quality synonymous with Japanese craftsmanship, earning them a loyal following both domestically and internationally.
The model we’ve just received is the AST-M, part of the AST series—which remains consistently popular today thanks to its modern style and comfortable playability—featuring a curved-top body.
Unlike standard long-scale models, this model features a medium scale.
The metallic Old Candy Apple Red finish, accented by binding on the black pickguard, looks stunning, and the matching headstock is another distinctive feature.

The neck features an Oval Type profile, and combined with the fine-grained satin finish on the back of the neck, it allows for stress-free playing during long sessions and quick position changes.
Additionally, the fingerboard features a 250R radius, 22 frets, and Wide Oval frets, making it well-suited for modern playing styles.

The guitar is constructed with a basswood body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard.
Thanks to the neutral character of basswood, the mid and low frequencies blend well, while the combination delivers light and bright highs.

The pickups feature original ST SINGLE (JAPAN) models.
The crisp tone, combined with the guitar’s character, produces well-defined notes, and in clean tones, you can enjoy a sound that faithfully reproduces your phrasing.
When driven, the tone gains increased sharpness and thickness, and the bright, sparkling sound pairs well with genres like rock.

In terms of condition, there are scratches and dents from age and use, as well as tarnish and rust on parts. Some areas of the finish show sun fading, cracking, peeling, and thinning. Additionally, there is a crack in the back panel and a dent in the fingerboard. However, the frets have plenty of life left, and the truss rod is functioning well, making this a ready-to-play instrument.

This is an attractive instrument that combines a great look, a lightweight and easy-to-handle body, and a sound that’s easy to work with.
