日本を代表するヘヴィメタルバンドGalneryusのギターとして活躍し、自身のソロやサポート、ゲストの他エフェクターブランド立ち上げ等幅広く活躍しているSyu。
数多くのシグネチャーモデルを輩出して来た氏ですが今回入荷致しました品はSnapperモデルをベースとした7弦モデル、E-SYUNAPPER-7。
Edwardsラインにて制作された品と成ります。
上位機種のESPモデルを彷彿とさせるPearl Whiteカラーが美しく、更にこちらのモデルはESPモデルと同様にブリッジを豪華にESP Flicker-III Tremoloへ換装した個体と成ります。

ネックシェイプは薄く仕上げられ、ネック裏もきめ細かい艶消し塗装を施しており、素早いポジション移動や長時間の演奏の中でもストレスの少ない良質な演奏性が楽しめます。
また緩やかな指板ラディアスと大きめのフレットのおかげでテクニカルなフレーズにも対応しやすい、こだわりの感じられる弾き心地です。

木材構成はアルダーボディ、ハードメイプルネック、メイプル指板からの組み合わせを採用。
6弦モデルのSYUNAPPERやTHE CRYING STAR、THE CRYING STAR-7等のモデル達と同様の組み合わせを持ち、近年のSyu氏の好みを反映させた組み合わせとなっております。
中低域は太さを感じさせながらもまとまりがあり、伸びやかな高域が印象的なバランスの良い組み合わせです。

ピックアップには昨今のモダンシーンにでは定番と成ったSeymour Duncan Sentient-7とNazgul-7の組み合わせを採用。
7弦らしい重厚感のある音色ながら埋もれづらく、クリーントーンではその明るさがフレーズの再現性も良く、素直な音色が扱いやすいです。
ドライヴ時にはハイゲインサウンドとの相性も良く、深い歪みの中でも崩れづらく、素早いリフやリードワークもしっかりと再現してくれます。
またトーンにはプッシュ/プルでのコイルタップ機能、キルスイッチも搭載しているので様々な表現が可能な点もこちらのモデルの魅力の一つです。

コンディションは経年や仕様に伴うスリキズや打こん、パーツ類のくすみやサビ、ヘッド裏のねじ穴跡埋め等がございますがフレットの尾力もしっかりとあり、トラスロッドの効きも良好なこれからも末永くお使い頂ける即戦力のコンディション。

アーティストモデルらしいこだわりと実戦での使用も考慮されたハイスペックな7弦です。

Syu is a guitarist for Galneryus, one of Japan’s leading heavy metal bands, and is active in a wide range of fields, including his own solo work, session and guest appearances, and the launch of his own effects pedal brand.
While he has released numerous signature models, the item we’ve just received is a 7-string model based on the Snapper model: the E-SYUNAPPER-7.
This instrument was manufactured as part of the Edwards line.
The Pearl White finish is stunning, reminiscent of the higher-end ESP models, and like those models, this unit features a luxurious upgrade to the ESP Flicker-III Tremolo bridge.

The neck is finished with a slim profile, and the back of the neck features a fine-grained matte finish, ensuring excellent playability with minimal stress during rapid position changes and extended playing sessions.
Additionally, the gentle fingerboard radius and generously sized frets provide a refined playing feel that makes it easy to handle technical phrases.

The wood configuration features an alder body, hard maple neck, and maple fingerboard.
This combination is identical to that found in 6-string models such as the SYUNAPPER, THE CRYING STAR, and THE CRYING STAR-7, reflecting Syu’s recent preferences.
The low-to-midrange is full-bodied yet well-defined, and the bright, airy high-end creates a well-balanced tone.

The pickups feature the Seymour Duncan Sentient-7 and Nazgul-7 combination, which has become a staple in the modern scene.
While delivering the rich, weighty tone characteristic of a 7-string, the sound remains clear and doesn’t get lost in the mix. In clean tones, its brightness ensures excellent phrase reproduction, and the natural tone is easy to work with.
When driven, it pairs well with high-gain sounds, holding up well even in deep distortion and faithfully reproducing fast riffs and lead work.
Additionally, the tone control features a push/pull coil-tap function and a kill switch, making this model highly versatile and one of its key attractions.

In terms of condition, there are some scratches and dents due to age and normal use, as well as some tarnish and rust on parts and filled screw holes on the back of the headstock. However, the frets still have good tension, the truss rod is functioning well, and it’s in ready-to-play condition that will serve you for many years to come.

This is a high-spec 7-string guitar that combines the attention to detail expected of an artist model with practicality for live performance.
