TOTOのギタリストとしてのみならず、凄腕スタジオミュージシャンとして強く支持される「スティーヴ・ルカサー」氏の滑らかなプレイを支える名品、ミュージックマン「LUKE」。2005年製個体です。

コンパクトで丸みがあり抱えやすいボディシェイプと、左右非対称の絶妙なネックシェイプ、オイル仕上げのグリップの質感による、圧倒的な弾き心地の良さが特長です。

オリジナルの2点支持のトレモロユニットのアクションも実にスムーズで、大胆なアーミングやクリケット奏法に対応できます。

ミュージックマン・ギターの魅力のひとつである「バーズアイ・メイプル・ネック」の杢目が美しく、経年によりやや色がついた風合いもまた格好良いです。

こちらの個体は、オリジナルのEMGアッセンブリーを取り外し、パッシヴ・タイプのピックアップ・アッセンブリーに換装しております。
ネック＆ミドル・ポジションにはセイモア・ダンカン社製「クラシック・スタック」をマウント。
ヴィンテージ・ストラトのサウンドをローノイズで実現しています。
ブリッジポジションにはMUSICMAN LUKE IIIにマウントされている氏のシグネイチャー「トランジション」をマウント。
リードサウンドに最適な程よいパワーと、コイルタップ時のクリアな音色を併せ持っています。

VOL / TONEポットをプルすることでブリッジピックアップのタップ、ネック＆ブリッジ(またはミドル)のミックスできるよう配線され、多彩な音色を作り出すことができます。

ジャンボサイズのフレットに打ち替えられており、指板エッジギリギリまでフレットの角を立てた丁寧な処理で、6弦と1弦のヴィブラートに余裕が持てます。

しっかりと弾き込まれてきたことが窺え、スリキズや塗装の傷みなどの使用感がございます。
現状のフレットは8割程度の残りで、ネック＆トラスロッドのコンディション良好です。

純正ハードケース(外装に傷み・ひびがあります)、トレモロアームが付属いたします。

The Music Man "LUKE" is a renowned instrument that supports the smooth playing of Steve Lukather, not only as the guitarist for TOTO but also as a highly regarded studio musician. This particular model is from 2005.

It features a compact, rounded, and easy-to-hold body shape, a perfectly asymmetrical neck shape, and an oil-finished grip, resulting in an overwhelmingly comfortable playing experience.

The original two-point tremolo unit's action is incredibly smooth, allowing for bold whammy bar techniques and cricket playing.

The beautiful grain of the "birdseye maple neck," one of the charms of Music Man guitars, is stunning, and the slightly colored patina that develops with age is also very appealing.

This particular guitar has had its original EMG pickup assembly removed and replaced with a passive-type pickup assembly.

The neck and middle positions are fitted with Seymour Duncan "Classic Stack" pickups.

These deliver a vintage Stratocaster sound with low noise.

The bridge position is fitted with the artist's signature "Transition" pickup, which is also mounted on his Music Man Luke III.

It offers just the right amount of power for lead sounds, combined with a clear tone when coil-tapped.

The VOL/TONE pots are wired to allow for bridge pickup tapping and mixing of neck & bridge (or middle) pickups, enabling a wide range of tonal possibilities.

The guitar has been fitted with jumbo-sized frets, and the fret edges are carefully cut right up to the edge of the fretboard, allowing for ample vibrato on the 6th and 1st strings.

This guitar shows signs of heavy use, including scratches and paint wear.

The frets currently have about 80% remaining, and the neck and truss rod are in good condition.

It comes with the original hardshell case (which has some damage and cracks on the exterior) and a tremolo arm.

This particular guitar is appealing for its carefully crafted modifications that effectively convert it to passive while maintaining Luke's playability. Offered at a great price for players, don't miss out!
