'60年代後期CBSフェンダーにより開発された"Thinline"は、ボディ材をバック面から大きくくり抜き、同じ木材で蓋をするユニークな構造を持つテレキャスターのバリエーションモデルです。
最初期はマホガニーボディ＆シングルコイル・ピックアップの組み合わせ(通称"Type I")でしたが、'72年にアッシュボディ＆ハムバッキング・ピックアップの組み合わせ(通称"Type II")へ仕様変更となります。

こちらは1975年製個体です。
ネックエンドのコードは'75年、ピックアップデイト'74年、ポットデイトは'73年と'74年製を確認いたしました。

競合ブランドを強く意識した新しいピックアップ、"ワイドレンジ・ハムバッカー"を装備し、セミホロー構造のボディへマウントし、既存のテレキャスターのサウンドとは異なる表情と魅力を生み出しています。
文字通り低音域から高音域まで発音するピックアップは、ファットさとブライトさを併せ持ち、メイプルネック＆アッシュボディの明るさと相まった歯切れの良いサウンドが特長です。

トップ面はまっすぐな木目、バック面に表情のあるホロー・アッシュボディは比較的軽量で、経年による飴色具合が格好良いです。

メイプル1ピースのネックは、ナット幅約40.5mm、ややスリムなCシェイプ気味の形状で、当店入荷時ナット＆フレット交換を施工。
やや大きめのフレットサイズを選定し、快適な演奏性に調整済み、現状のネック＆トラスロッドのコンディション良好です。

電装パーツはオリジナルを維持しており、ピックガードにひびがございますが、現状問題なくお使いいただけます。

オリジナル・ブラックトーレックス・ハードケースが付属いたします。

Developed by CBS-era Fender in the late 1960s, the "Thinline" is a Telecaster variant featuring a unique construction in which a large portion of the body is hollowed out from the back and capped with the same type of wood.
While the earliest models featured a mahogany body paired with single-coil pickups (known as "Type I"), the specifications were changed in 1972 to an ash body paired with humbucking pickups (known as "Type II").

This particular instrument was manufactured in 1975.
We have verified the date codes as follows: 1975 for the neck heel, 1974 for the pickups, and 1973 and 1974 for the potentiometers.

Equipped with "Wide Range Humbucker" pickups—designed with a keen eye on competing brands—and mounted on a semi-hollow body, this instrument delivers a tonal character and appeal distinct from the standard Telecaster sound.
True to their name, these pickups cover the full frequency spectrum, combining fatness with brightness; this pairs with the maple neck and ash body to produce a crisp, articulate tone.

The hollow ash body features straight grain on the top and a more dynamic grain pattern on the back; it is relatively lightweight and boasts an attractive amber hue developed through aging.

The one-piece maple neck features a nut width of approximately 40.5mm and a profile that leans towards a slim C-shape; the nut and frets were replaced when the instrument arrived at our shop.
Slightly larger fret wire was selected and the setup optimized for comfortable playability; the neck and truss rod are currently in excellent condition.

The electronics remain original. There is a crack in the pickguard, but it does not affect functionality and can be used without issue.

The original black Tolex hard case is included.

It is lightweight and offers a lively, pleasing resonance; you can thoroughly enjoy playing it at home without even plugging it into an amp.
