惜しまれながらも閉鎖してしまいましたがその幅広いシーンに対応してくれるサウンド傾向や良質なプレイアビリティから今なおプレイヤー達に愛されているG&L。
今回入荷致しました品はシンライン構造のTLスタイルモデル、ASAT Classic Thinline。
アッシュボディらしい杢目が透けるButterscotch Blondeとブラックガードを採用した王道のルックスの品です。

ネックシェイプはG&LらしいスリムなCシェイプに近いシェイプを持つModern Classicを採用。
プレイヤーのスタイルを問わず幅広い方々にも握りやすいと感じて頂けるフィット感を持ち、きめ細かく仕上げられたサテン塗装との組み合わせも長時間の演奏の際や素早いポジション移動の際もストレスが少ないです。
指板面は9.5"Rの緩やかな指板ラディアスを有し、フレットもミディアムジャンボサイズの22フレット構成等現代的なフレーズにもしっかりと対応可能です。

木材構成はホロウ構造のスワンプアッシュボディ、メイプルネック、メイプル指板からの組み合わせを採用。
2.66kgという軽さのおかげで中低域は芯の太さが感じられながらもまとまりの良さが感じられ、ハリのある煌びやかな高域が楽しめます。

ピックアップにはオリジナルのMFD ASAT Classic Single-Coilをマウント。
程よい出力値を持つ太いキャラクターはクリーントーンでは音粒の揃いも良く、弾ける様なギラ付きも感じさせるサウンドが楽しめ、各種コントロールへの追従性も良好です。
ドライヴ時にはよりエッジが増した鋭い音色が楽しめ、クランチ～オーバードライヴ程の歪みの中での軽やかなロックサウンドも魅力です。

コンディションは経年や使用に伴うスリキズや打痕、パーツ類のくすみやサビ等がございますが大きく目立つ物は無く、フレットの減りも無く、トラスロッドの効きも良好なこれからも末永くお使い頂ける良好なコンディション。

Although G&L has closed its doors to much regret, it remains beloved by players to this day for its versatile sound profile and excellent playability.
The model we’ve just received is the ASAT Classic Thinline, a TL-style guitar featuring a thinline construction.
It boasts a classic look with a Butterscotch Blonde finish that showcases the natural grain of the ash body and a black pickguard.

The neck features the “Modern Classic” profile, which closely resembles the slim C-shape characteristic of G&L.
It offers a comfortable grip suitable for a wide range of players, regardless of style, and when combined with the finely finished satin finish, it minimizes stress during long playing sessions or rapid position changes.
The fingerboard features a gentle 9.5" radius, and with its 22 medium-jumbo frets, it’s well-suited for modern phrasing.

The wood configuration consists of a hollow Swamp Ash body, a maple neck, and a maple fingerboard.
Thanks to its light weight of 2.66 kg, the mid-to-low frequencies deliver a rich, full-bodied core while maintaining excellent cohesion, allowing you to enjoy crisp, sparkling highs.

The guitar is equipped with the original MFD ASAT Classic Single-Coil pickups.
With moderate output and a full-bodied character, the clean tone offers well-defined notes and a lively, sparkling quality, while responding well to adjustments of the various controls.
When driven, the tone becomes sharper with added edge, and the light, rock-oriented sound it produces in the crunch to overdrive range is particularly appealing.

In terms of condition, there are some scratches and dents from age and use, as well as some tarnish and rust on parts, but nothing is particularly noticeable. The frets show no wear, and the truss rod is functioning properly, making this a well-maintained instrument that will serve you well for many years to come.

With its lightweight, easy-to-handle design and airy tone, this is a highly recommended instrument.
