アメリカ建国200年記念の1976年、星条旗のデザインをあしらった特別なファイヤーバードが発表されました。
こちらはその"76"バードロゴ・ピックガードを持った1979年製個体です。

'60年代に開発されたギブソン ファイヤーバードは、当時のギターデザインから一線を画したデザインが特長で、後に"ノンリバース"シェイプへモデルチェンジが行われました。

こちらは発売当時の"リバース"デザインに回帰し、「2つのミニハムバッカー・ピックアップ」「ブリッジ＆テールピース構造」「ゴールドハードウェア」を採用し、'60年代当時のバリエーションである「III」「V」「VII」それぞれの特徴を併せ持ったユニークな仕様です。

バンジョー用のペグを流用し、表面からペグボタンが見えないスタイリッシュなヘッドストックも個性的で、初期モデル同様の「スルーネック」構造を採用し、実に手の込んだつくりをしています。

シングルコイル以上に繊細でクリアな音色が特徴のミニハムバッカーは、クリーンはもちろん、歪ませて演奏するにも向いており、他のギブソンギターとはひと味異なるサウンドが大変魅力的です。

経年による塗装やパーツの傷み、ジャック取り付け部分の木部割れ補修などの使用感が見受けられます。
リアピックアップは根元の配線に修正痕が見受けられ、リワインドと判断いたしました。

当店入荷時ナットとフレットを交換し、背の高いフレットで弾きやすく調整済、現状のネック＆トラスロッドの状態も良好です。

独特の弾き心地とサウンドが光る名品、マホガニーの木目を活かしたナチュラルフィニッシュが美しい個体です。ご興味をお持ちの方はどうぞお見逃しなく。

In 1976, to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the founding of the United States, a special Firebird featuring the American flag was released.

This is a 1979 example with that "76" Bird logo pickguard.

Developed in the 1960s, the Gibson Firebird was notable for its design, which set it apart from other guitar designs of the time, and was later redesigned to feature a "non-reverse" shape.

This model returns to the original "reverse" design and features two mini humbucker pickups, a bridge and tailpiece construction, and gold hardware, making it a unique instrument that combines the features of the 1960s "III," "V," and "VII" variations.

It also features a stylish headstock with banjo tuning machines that hide the tuning machine buttons from the surface, and features the same "neck-through" construction as the early models, making it a truly elaborately crafted instrument.

Featuring a more delicate and clear tone than a single-coil pickup, the mini-humbucker is suitable for both clean and distorted playing, producing a sound that is quite appealing and different from other Gibson guitars.

There are signs of use such as aging damage to the paint and parts, and repaired cracks in the wood where the jack attaches.
There are signs of repair to the wiring at the base of the rear pickup, so we have determined that it needs to be rewound.

When this guitar arrived at our store, the nut and frets were replaced and the taller frets were adjusted for easier playability, and the current neck and truss rod are in good condition.

This is a masterpiece with a unique playing feel and sound, and a beautiful natural finish that brings out the mahogany grain. If you're interested, don't miss out.
