日本を代表するギターブランドESP。

日本製ならではの丁寧な作りは、世界中の多くのアーティストが信頼し使用しています。

こちらは1990年代にDokken解散後、Lynch Mobを結成し新たなサウンドを求め制作されたモデルSGL-250のトップのSkull&Snakeのグラフィックを剥がし、ブラックにトップのみリフィニッシュし、コントロール、フロントP.U等モディファイした個体となります。

ジョージリンチモデルの特長である厚めのボディ厚で、Mahoganyの中でも特に良質と言われるHonduras Mahoganyを使用、それまでのジョージモデルはMapleボディが主でカミソリギターサウンドと言われる固くエッジの効いた出音でしたが、こちらはしっかりとした中低域をもたせて、太くヘヴィなサウンドとなっています。


ネックにはMapleを使用、指板材はRosewoodとなっており、ボディ材のMahoganyとも相性が良い、バランスの取れた出音になっております。


ピックアップは交換されており、フロントにSeymour Duncan JB Jr. Strat、リアは確認できませんが、オリジナルのMother IIと思われます。

フロントのシングルコイルサイズハムバッカーとの組み合わせも出音のバランスが良く、クリーントーンではハリとまとまりのあるサウンドがフレーズやニュアンスも素直に伝えてくれる、扱いやすいサウンドの印象を受けます。

コントロールはオリジナルでは1ヴォリュームでPush-Pullのスイッチポットが、ピックアップセレクターとなっていますが、こちらは3wayのトグルスイッチが追加され、リアとフロントピックアップのミックスが可能となりスイッチポットはシングルコイルタップスイッチに変更されています。

ドライヴ時にはその太さを活かした骨太な音色が楽しめ、ロックジャンルを始め幅広くお使い頂けるパワフルなサウンドが魅力です。

コンディションは経年や使用に伴うスリキズや打痕、パーツ類のくすみやサビ、一部塗装の割れや欠け、ネック裏の黒ずみ、ツヤ、PUカバーの割れ等が向けられますがフレットの余力もしっかりとあり、トラスロッドの効きも良好な即戦力としてこれからもお使い頂けるコンディション。

ESP is one of Japan's leading guitar brands.

Their careful craftsmanship, which is unique to products made in Japan, is trusted and used by many artists around the world.

This is an SGL-250 model, created in the 1990s when Lynch Mob was formed after Dokken disbanded and they sought a new sound. The Skull & Snake graphic on the top of the model has been removed, and only the top has been refinished in black, with modifications to the controls, front P.U., etc.

The George Lynch model has a thick body, a characteristic of the guitar, and is made of Honduras mahogany, which is considered to be of the highest quality among mahogany. Previous George models mainly had maple bodies and produced a hard, edgy sound known as a razor guitar sound, but this model has a solid mid-low range and produces a thick, heavy sound.

The neck is made of maple and the fingerboard is made of rosewood, which goes well with the mahogany body material and produces a well-balanced sound.

The pickups have been replaced, with a Seymour Duncan JB Jr. Strat in the front and an original Mother II in the rear, although the rear cannot be confirmed.

The combination with the single-coil-sized humbucker in the front also produces a well-balanced sound, and clean tones have a crisp, well-balanced sound that conveys phrases and nuances honestly, giving the impression of an easy-to-use sound.

The original had a single volume control with a push-pull switch pot as the pickup selector, but this model has an additional 3-way toggle switch that allows you to mix the rear and front pickups, and the switch pot has been changed to a single coil tap switch.

When driven, you can enjoy a bold tone that takes advantage of the guitar's thickness, and its powerful sound is appealing and can be used in a wide range of genres, including rock.

The condition of the guitar is such that it has scratches and dents due to age and use, dullness and rust on parts, cracks and chips in the paint, blackening on the back of the neck, gloss, and cracks in the PU cover, but there is plenty of fret capacity and the truss rod works well, so it is in good condition to continue using as an immediate asset.

This is a modified GL model with a wider range of sounds!!
