Fender Custom Shop製品のRelic加工の業務委託を担当した経歴のあるビルダー「Vincent Cunetto」氏による逸品。
2009年製作個体です。

現在ではポピュラーとなったヴィンテージギターのような使い込まれた風合いを再現する”レリック加工”の名人として知られ、氏が加工を施した'99年ころまでのFender Custom Shop Relic製品は、"Cunetto Era"や"Cunetto Relic"などと呼ばれ高く評価されています。

こちらはヴィンテージスタイルを踏襲した"Artifact"シリーズのひとつ、Singlecutはフェンダー社初のソリッドエレクトリック・モデルを差し、'62年スタイルとして知られる「スラブ貼りローズウッド指板」「ダブルバウンド・ボディ」をフィーチャーしています。

濃い色合いのホンジュラスローズウッドの指板と、贅沢なクォーターソン(柾目取り)メイプルを使用したネックは、やや厚みがあり、少しVシェイプ気味に仕上げてあり、親指を出して握り込んだ時のフィット感が素晴らしいです。

軽量なアルダー材を使用したボディは薄い塗膜で仕上げられ、自然な色焼け具合やウェザーチェックに、氏の技が光っています。

ピックアップはLollar製の特注品をマウントし、ローパワーでレンジの広い音色を出力します。
ブリッジはGlendale製を採用、テリーの醍醐味である3wayサドルの鳴りを活かしつつ、安定したチューニングピッチが得られます。

弾き込まれてきた中で欠けたであろう塗膜や、パーツのくすみ・サビが見受けられ、レリック加工に馴染んできていることが窺えます。
ブリッジピックアップの補修と、ナット交換が施されています。
フレットは8割程度の残りで、現状のネック＆トラスロッドのコンディション良好です。

G&G製ハードケースとサティフィケート(認定証)が付属いたします。

This is a masterpiece by builder Vincent Cunetto, who has a history of commissioning the Relic finish on Fender Custom Shop products.
This guitar was built in 2009.

He is known as a master of the now-popular "relic finish" technique, which recreates the worn-in look of vintage guitars. The Fender Custom Shop Relic products he worked on up until around 1999 are highly acclaimed and are known as the "Cunetto Era" or "Cunetto Relic."

This is part of the vintage-style "Artifact" series. The Singlecut refers to Fender's first solid electric model, featuring the '62 style features of a slab-laminated rosewood fingerboard and double-bound body.

The neck, made from a dark Honduras rosewood fingerboard and luxurious quarter-sawn maple, is slightly thick and finished in a slight V-shape, providing a wonderful fit when you grip the guitar with your thumb out.

The lightweight alder body is finished with a thin coating, and the natural fading and weather checking highlight Terry's skill.

The pickups are custom-made by Lollar, producing a wide range of tones with low power.

The bridge is made by Glendale, which takes advantage of the resonance of Terry's signature 3-way saddle while providing stable tuning pitch.

There is paint chipping that appears to have come off from heavy playing, and some tarnish and rust on parts, suggesting that the relic finish is taking hold.
The bridge pickup has been repaired and the nut replaced.
About 80% of the frets remain, and the neck and truss rod are currently in good condition.
