日本のV-ROCKシーンを代表するバンドの一つthe GazettEのギターとして長らく活躍する葵氏のEdwardsシグネチャーモデル、E-EN-165-A1が入荷致しました。
FOREST系のシェイプをより過激にし、複雑なボディデザインが施されたシグネチャーモデルらしいこだわりが感じられる品です。

ESPブランドのA-I 艶～en～に準じた仕様を備えた当モデルはネックシェイプは6弦側に少しカーブを持たせた左右非対称のスリムなDシェイプに近い握り心地を感じさせ、手の小さな方にも握りやすく、長時間の演奏の中でもストレスが少ない良質な握り心地です。
指板面はフラットなカーブを描いており、フレットも大きめの物を使用しているのでテクニカルなフレーズ等にも対応しやすいです。

木材構成はアルダーボディ、メイプルネック、エボニー指板からの組み合わせを使用。
中低域はまとまりの良さと芯の太さが感じられ、ハリのある高域が楽しめる組み合わせです。

ピックアップにはSeymour Duncan SSL-5 Custom Staggered、SL59-1n LITTLE '59をフロントにリアはSSL-5 Custom StaggeredとSLSD-1b. Lil' Screamin Demonをマウント。
シングルコイルモデルとシングルサイズハムバッカーを交えたそれぞれ2発ずつフロントとリアにマウントした特異な仕様を持ち、クリーントーンではシングル時での煌びやかとハリのある音色が楽しめ、フレーズやニュアンスの再現性も高い煌びやかなサウンドが楽しめます。
ドライヴ時にはキレの良さとエッジがより立った鋭い音色を出力し、クランチ系の音色からジェントライクなギラつきのあるサウンドとの相性も良いです。
またミニスイッチを使用する事でシングルサイズハムバッカーを出力させる事でより太く、パワフルなサウンドへ移行させる事も出来る等シグネチャーモデルらしい仕様ながら多彩なサウンドメイクが求められるGazettEのギタリストらしさも感じられます。

コンディションは経年や使用に伴うスリキズや打痕、パーツ類のくすみやサビ、色落ち、一部塗装の焼けや痩せが見受けられますがフレットの余力もしっかりとあり、トラスロッドの効きも良好な即戦力としてこれからもお使い頂ける良好なコンディション。

現在では生産が完了となってしまいましたが目を惹くルックスと個性的なサウンド構成が面白く、ファンの方々はもちろん、豊富なサウンドバリエーションを持つモデルでお探しの方にもお勧めさせて頂ける品です。

Edwards signature model E-EN-165-A1 by Aoi, who has long been active as a guitarist for one of the leading bands in the Japanese V-ROCK scene, the GazettE, is now in stock.
The shape of the FOREST series is more radical, and the intricate body design shows the attention to detail that is typical of signature models.

The neck shape is asymmetrical with a slight curve on the 6th string side, giving the player a comfortable grip similar to a slim D shape, which is easy to grip even for those with small hands.
The fingerboard surface is flat and curved, and larger frets are used for technical phrases.

The wood construction uses a combination of an alder body, maple neck, and ebony fingerboard.
The mid-low range has a cohesive and thick core, and the bouncy high range can be enjoyed with this combination.

For pickups, Seymour Duncan SSL-5 Custom Staggered and SL59-1n LITTLE ‘59 are mounted on the front and SSL-5 Custom Staggered and SLSD-1b. Lil’ Screamin Demon on the rear.
The unique specification of two single-coil models and two single-size humbuckers mounted on the front and rear, respectively, allows you to enjoy the shimmer and bounce of a single tone in the clean tone, and a shimmering sound with high reproducibility of phrases and nuances.
When driven, it produces a sharp tone with more edge and sharpness, and it is also compatible with crunchy tones and gentler, more guttural sounds.
Also, by using the mini-switch, you can shift to a thicker, more powerful sound by outputting a single-size humbucker, which is typical of the signature model, while also feeling the character of the GazettE guitarist who requires a variety of sound makeup.

The condition of the guitar has some scratches, dings and dents caused by age and use, parts are dull and rusty, the color is faded, and some of the paint is burnt and thinned, but the frets have enough power and the truss rod works well.

The guitar is no longer in production, but its eye-catching looks and unique sound structure make it an interesting choice for both fans and those looking for a model with a wide range of sound variations.
