惜しまれながらも生産が完了してしまったFernandes/Burny。
数々のシグネチャーモデルを有していた当ブランドですが、その中でも屈指の人気を誇っていたhideモデルのMGシリーズよりMG-85Xが入荷致しました。
MGシェイプらしい個性が光るシェイプ、ボディトップとバックに配された美しいフィギュアードメイプルの杢目が映え、hideといえばこちらのCherry Sunburstを思い起こす方もいらっしゃるかと思われる人気仕様の品です。

ネックシェイプはスリムなDシェイプに近い握り心地を持ち、プレイヤーのスタイルを問わず幅広い方々にも握りやすいと感じて頂けます。

木材構成はバスウッドボディ、メイプルトップとバック、メイプルネック、ローズウッド指板の組み合わせを採用。
2.96kgという軽さも合わさり、中低域はまとまりの良さを感じさせ、軽やかさと明るさが感じられる高域が印象的な組み合わせです。

ピックアップにはオリジナルのハムバッカーモデルVH-401をマウント。
バランスの良い出力値はクリーントーンでは音のまとまりも良く、フレーズもキレイに再現してくれます。
ドライヴ時には厚みを増したサウンドが迫力を感じさせ、ロックジャンル等との相性も良好です。
またダイレクトスイッチを使用する事で1ボリュームながらフレーズやサウンドへの表現も広い点も魅力です。

コンディションは経年や使用に伴うスリキズや打痕、パーツ類のくすみやサビ、バインディングの縮み等が見受けられますがフレットの減りも少なく、トラスロッドの効きも良好な即戦力としてお使い頂けるコンディション。

The Fernandes/Burny series, which has been discontinued to much regret.
This brand was known for its numerous signature models, but among them, the MG-85X from the MG series, which was one of the most popular models featuring hide's signature design, has now arrived.
The MG-85X features the distinctive MG shape, with beautiful figured maple grain on the body top and back, evoking the iconic Cherry Sunburst finish that many associate with hide.

The neck shape offers a slim D-shaped grip, providing a comfortable feel for players of all styles.

The wood construction features a basswood body, maple top and back, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard.
Weighing just 2.96kg, it combines a well-balanced mid-low range with a bright, lively high-end.

The pickup is the original humbucker model VH-401.
The balanced output provides a cohesive sound in clean tones and reproduces phrases beautifully.
In drive mode, the thicker sound adds power, making it well-suited for rock genres.
Additionally, the direct switch allows for a wide range of expression in phrases and sound despite having only one volume control.

The condition shows signs of age and use, including scratches, dents, discoloration and rust on parts, and shrinkage of the binding. However, the frets have minimal wear, and the truss rod functions well, making it a reliable instrument ready for use.
