Jacksonを代表するモデルの一つとして長年君臨し続けているRRシリーズ。
今回入荷致しました品は現代的な24フレット構成とアクティヴピックアップ、アグレッシヴなリバースヘッド構造を持たせたXシリーズの一つ、X Series RRX24。
王道のグロスブラックカラーがシェイプの鋭角さをより際立たせ、ボディカラーにマッチさせたロゴもワンポイントで注目させてくれる品です。

ネックシェイプはJacksonらしい薄く仕上げられた握り心地を持ち、スルーネック構造と合わさる事でハイポジションへのアクセスも良く、速いポジション移動の際もスムーズに行えます。
指板面もJakcsonの特徴でもある12"R-16"Rへと変化して行くコンパウンドラディアス構造を持ち、フレットも24フレット構成、フレットサイズもジャンボサイズを採用しているのでテクニカルなフレーズにもしっかりと対応してくれます。

木材構成はポプラボディ、メイプルネック、ローレル指板からの組み合わせを採用。
オールドファンの方々には馴染みのあるポプラ材を使用しており、中低域はまとまりの良さが感じられ、伸びやかな高域が印象的なバランスの良い組み合わせです。

ピックアップにはSeymour DuncanのアクティヴピックアップAHB-1 Blackoutsのセットをマウント。
アクティヴらしいローノイズでクリアな音色はクリーントーンでも活躍し、音粒の揃いも良いサウンドがフレーズをキレイに再現してくれます。
ドライヴ時にはルックスの通りハイゲインサウンドとの相性も良く、ローチューニングの中でもまとまり、速いリフワークやリードワークの際も活躍してくれます。

コンディションは経年や使用に伴うスリキズや打痕、パーツ類のくすみやサビ、メッキ剥げが見受けられますがフレットの余力もしっかりとあり、トラスロッドの効きも良好なこれからも末永くお使い頂けるコンディション。

The RR Series has long reigned as one of Jackson’s flagship models.
The model we’ve just received is the X Series RRX24, part of the X Series lineup featuring a modern 24-fret configuration, active pickups, and an aggressive reverse headstock design.
The classic gloss black finish accentuates the sharp angles of the body, while the logo—matched to the body color—adds a subtle yet eye-catching detail.

The neck shape features Jackson’s signature slim profile, and when combined with the set-in neck construction, it offers excellent access to the higher frets, allowing for smooth and rapid position changes.
The fingerboard features Jackson’s signature compound radius, transitioning from 12“R to 16”R. With 24 frets and jumbo-sized frets, it handles technical phrases with ease.

The wood configuration combines a poplar body, maple neck, and laurel fingerboard.
It uses poplar, a material familiar to longtime fans, resulting in a well-balanced combination with cohesive mid-to-low frequencies and impressive, airy highs.

It is equipped with a set of Seymour Duncan AHB-1 Blackout active pickups.
The low-noise, clear tone characteristic of active pickups shines in clean tones, and the well-defined tone reproduction faithfully captures every nuance of your phrasing.
When driven, it pairs perfectly with high-gain sounds—just as its appearance suggests—maintaining cohesion even in low tunings and excelling during fast riffing and lead work.

In terms of condition, there are some scratches and dents from age and use, as well as some tarnish, rust, and peeling plating on the parts. However, the frets still have plenty of life left, and the truss rod is working well, so it’s in a condition that will allow you to enjoy it for many years to come.
