Fender USAのラインナップの中でも長らくヴィンテージスペックを再現したモデル展開を行って来た名シリーズ、American Vintageシリーズ。
今回入荷致しました品は特徴的なラージヘッド仕様を持ち、モデル名の通り1973年頃のストラトキャスターモデルを再現したモデル、American Vintage II 1973 Stratocaster。
目を惹くブルーメタリックカラー、Lake Placid Blueがロックスタイルを感じさせてくれるルックスです。

ネックシェイプはこの時期のモデルを再現するに開発された専用の1973 "C"シェイプを採用。
トラッドスタイルながらも比較的スリムな握り心地を感じさせ、幅広いスタイルの方々にも握りやすいと感じて頂ける印象を受けます。
指板面は当時の弾き心地を再現し、7.25"Rの指板ラディアス、フレットもヴィンテージトールサイズを採用しております。
しかしながら現代的なシーンにも対応しやすいようにリアへのトーン回路を設けている等扱いやすい点も魅力の一つです。

木材構成はアッシュボディ、メイプルネック、メイプル指板の当時を再現した組み合わせを使用。
芯の太さとまとまりの良さが感じられる中低域とハリのある高域が印象的な構成です。

ピックアップには専用のPure Vintage '73 Single-Coil Stratをマウント。
当時のサウンドを再現するにあたりクロスカバードワイヤー、ファイバーボビン、アルニコマグネットを使用しており、クリーントーンでは煌びやかさが際立ったハリのある音色が印象的です。
ドライヴ時にはよりキレと太さが増し、歪ませた際のギャリっとした歯切れの良いサウンドがロックジャンル等との相性も良好です。

コンディションは経年や使用に伴う細かなスリキズや小さな打痕、パーツ類のくすみ等がございますが大きく目立つ物は無く、フレットの減りも少なく、トラスロッドの効きも良好な美品と言えるこれからも末永くお使い頂けるコンディション。

骨太なサウンドが楽しめ、新品でのご検討も頂いておりました方にもおすすめな個体です。

The American Vintage series is a renowned line within Fender USA’s lineup that has long been dedicated to recreating vintage specifications.
The model we’ve just received features the distinctive large headstock and, as the name suggests, recreates a Stratocaster from around 1973: the American Vintage II 1973 Stratocaster.
Its eye-catching metallic blue finish, Lake Placid Blue, gives it a look that exudes rock style.

The neck shape adopts the exclusive 1973 “C” profile, developed specifically to replicate models from that era.
While traditional in style, it offers a relatively slim grip, giving the impression that it will feel comfortable for a wide range of players.
The fingerboard replicates the playing feel of the era, featuring a 7.25" radius and vintage-tall frets.
However, one of its appealing features is its user-friendliness, such as the inclusion of a tone control on the bridge pickup to make it more adaptable to modern playing styles.

The wood configuration uses a combination that replicates the original era: an ash body, maple neck, and maple fingerboard.
This configuration delivers impressive mid-low frequencies with a rich, full-bodied tone and crisp, resonant highs.

It is equipped with a custom-made Pure Vintage '73 Single-Coil Strat pickup.
To recreate the authentic vintage sound, it uses cross-covered wire, fiber bobbins, and Alnico magnets, resulting in a clean tone with a striking brilliance and crisp clarity.
When driven, the tone gains even more bite and body, and the gritty, snappy sound when distorted pairs exceptionally well with rock genres.

The guitar shows minor scratches, small dents, and some discoloration on parts due to age and use, but there are no major flaws. With minimal fret wear and a properly functioning truss rod, this is a beautiful instrument in excellent condition that will serve you well for years to come.

This is a great choice for anyone looking to enjoy a robust sound, and we highly recommend it even to those who were originally considering a brand-new model.
